Hello everyone..............Need some help. I am off to seoul in late june for studying at Sogang. My question is where is a good place to find cheap airplane tickets. I would be flying out of Newark Nj, or NYC. I have done the usual expedia and travelocity type sites. I wanted to know if there is a good site or agency i can book a plane for a 1000 USD or under. All i can find is 1200 and up. I would really appreaciate some feedback on this because i want to spend my in korea and not on going to korea

i don't know if you'll beat the results turned out by expedia, but i once typed in "cheap airfare" in google and the search returned a lot of sites that produced lower-priced results than those provided by travelocity and yahoo.

Hello,

Here's a list I've been working with for a while. Northwest Airlines has an online sale through May 15th, Singapore Airlines is <$600US from the west coast (6-mo. ticket), I think Japan Air may still have some deals. ATA has good US domestic fares. There are some blackout dates in May - they vary by airline. For a quick check, try the travel search engine qixo.com.

Good Luck!

This might lead you to jumping through a lot of hoops to get tickets--I haven't used this service before--but I found 820 dollar round trip from NYC to SEL at http://airfare.bootsnall.com/

We're trying to keep down the number of stickies on offer as they clutter the board... but I will add this thread to the FAQs (you can access these from the "global announcement - Useful Threads/ FAQs"

I can only point you to cheap Theatre Tickets. I guess airplane tickets prices differ from agency to agency.

I know I've seen other threads about cheap flights and if anyone can link them on this one I would really appreciate it. The last time someone posted on this one was in 2007.. I am coming to Korea for the first time in October and need to get myself a ticket. Thanks!

You can use bing.com/travel to search with and you do buy your ticket to come to Korea before getting reimbursed. To go on March 1st, it's only $774, but on June 21st, it's showing $934 through Orbitz as the lowest fare. It's all over the news that airfares, gas, and food are all going up more this year so there probably isn't a $650 fare any longer.

If your employer is having you pay for your flight upfront and you're tight on cash for your first month, you might want to checkout TheArrivalStore.com Flight Service. It's not for everyone, but is a real life saver for others

You should compare popular air flight service providers of your city. At present time there is great competition among air service providers and this is the reason that flight tickets are now available at cheap rates. You should compare popular flight service providers and then book your ticket online with that air service provider who offer cheap flight tickets. One more important thing is that almost all service providers offer special prices on special occasions. You can get benefit of these offers. This idea will really save a big ticket costs.
