i dont know anythıng this festival i want to learn really because i like chinese people 'cause they be HUMANIST i m a turkısh man:p i guess that chinese people who have TRADE OF ALL OF WORLD,must do good festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festivity for both the Han and minority nationalities.
It is on August 15th in lunar year.
In ancient China,there was a fairy named chang'e,she was the first one who produced the mooncakes.
And now,people eat mooncakes on Mid-autumn Festival.
Here are some pictures of the mooncakes:
There are so many kinds of mooncakes.
The round moon cakes, measuring about three inches in diameter and one and a half inches in thickness, resembled Western fruitcakes in taste and consistency. These cakes were made with melon seeds, lotus seeds, almonds, minced meats, bean paste, orange peels and lard. A golden yolk from a salted duck egg was placed at the center of each cake, and the golden brown crust was decorated with symbols of the festival. Traditionally, thirteen moon cakes were piled in a pyramid to symbolize the thirteen moons of a "complete year," that is, twelve moons plus one intercalary moon.
In some areas of China,people eat pomelos as well as mooncakes.The pomelo is a kind of fruit,like this:
Some of the pomelos are sour,but some are quite sweet,that depends on how good the skill of your choosing pomelos is.
No matter how,all the people will get togethter to have a splendid dinner and on the night of Mid-autumn Day,people will sit under the sky and admire the moon and chat with his family.
Aha~the day after tomorrow is Mid-autumn in China~~~  I can't wait it! |

Are you talking about the Mooncake festival or the shi sui festival. Well I have not been there for the festival or nor do I have ever read it. But I just know it through one of my friends who lives there.
