Recently there are many gun related crimes in US. In some colleges or high school, there were shooting incidents. But it seems that there is not a strict law to regulate possession of the gun in US, because it is guaranteed by the Constitution. Also National Rifle Association seems to be very active in maintaining the current law.
When I talk with people in US, many say it is scary to make the possession of the gun illegal because then it will be only criminals that can access to the guns, not ordinarily citizens. So there is no way for them to protect themselves. In Japan, there is a very strict gun control law. If you are found out that you have guns. You will be arrested right away. How is it in your country?
