I was so shocked and doubtful if I heard a human beings voice rather than a witchs curse toward our thousands of victims during Sichuans earth quake!
I am fully convinced that words from a good-looking devil are even more harmful to innocent people than that of an ugly looking ghost.
In the mean time, I could not help querying this Hollywood star, what fault had been done by our thousands of baby students who had been buried under ruins? What unkind thing from them had ever been exerted to you and your disgusted friend, Dalai lama, which caused your such hatred to them? Are you sure you are alright, I mean, not insane, crazy nor paranoic?

Your concern for the innocent school children buried under tons of rubble would be much more effective if directed toward those who pocketed large sums of funds allocated for the construction of public buildings (schools).
Why not ask the corrupt 'ugly devils' (public officials and owners of construction companies) who built 'tofu buildings' - (schools)..."what fault had been done by our thousands of baby students"?
'Foreign Devils' will be used (as usual) to 'rally' (control) by diverting the attention of the people of China from their true problems (their own government) throuh the government controlled media.
The criminal abuses perpetrated on the people of Tibet by the government of China is the target of such comments...not the children we all mourn.
Insane,crazy, paranoid...
look behind the 'smoke and mirrors' and wake up!

With thousands years' history, our Chinese people are by no means as naive as you imaged. We hate and criticize the corruption but we know that it isn't "karma" or the results of those innocent students, therefore, anyone had no reason to feel "interesting" and to laugh at!
Another reminding point to you, we are enjoying complete freedom in web. Nowadays, not all media are controlled by Chinese government as you mentioned. On the contrary, it is exact the web-people who are dreadfully angry to those pride, prejudice and egomania rather than so-called governmental controlled- correspondents who, frankly to say, actually are largely restrained by themselves.

'we are enjoying complete freedom in web' (sic)

Not all of your compatriots seem to agree - you need look no further than
the 'Culture Forum' on this very site.

Especially interesting is the closing comment in Ming _2008s' post to be found on page 3 of the thread titled 'Chinese Culture'.

'You'd better use overseas e-mail account.'.... Question Shocked Idea Embarassed

Enough of this banter.

Discourse with zealots
What be their stripe
Try quieting the dogs
Tether as existence
Strain howling madly
At starless shadows

May you find some light. Wink

May silent be the best way to disregard the unreasonable noise.

Dear Wenzili -

"As the matter of fact, it is a battle to protect our Chinese dignity. Help! my web friends!" (sic)

Feign silence while you marshall your troops.

Sun Tzu or Machiavelli?

The peoples of every continent have known expansion, empire and patriotic education.
Those who have achieved any measure of independent though are, generally, the exception.

The responses in these threads ring with vestiges of Qin-Han-Tangut
"Patroitic Education" and Maos' "Radical Han Nationalism".

Again...hubris is a poor substitute for pride.
No need to defend 'pride' - it is within.

How many 'Shaosu Minzu' have you 'contacted'?
Are you registered in the 'Hukou' system?

You have misunderstood the thrust of comments made in these forums; it is not meant to be a 'battle'.

If you'd like to 'talk' instead of spout jingoistic 'bluster', there are people here who would be more than happy to engage you (myself included).

Philo

p.s. - It's not your English ability which stifles you...try an open mind and heart.

Again - May you find some light.

Lets focus our topic to avoid any diversion:
1) Are Ms. Sharon Stones words right or wrong regarding so-called interesting karma, the earth quake in Sichuan?
2) If you agree with her or not?
If you have any interest in talking about other Chinese internal issues, it is ok. Ill accompany you immediately after your clear answers (YES or NOT) to above-mentioned two questions.

Did you happen to see her on CNN...bending over wagging her 'butt' and flashing her cleavage at the cameras??

How in the world could any serious person who, deep in their 'heart of hearts', has true 'pride' in anything related to their exsistence over-react to such an extent to whatever inane comment she makes??

Only someone without 'true' pride and great insecurities (the source of hubris) could possibly be shaken by such obvious 'air headed 'wanna be'
New Age dribble'.

I don't appreciate your capped "YES or NOT" ultimatum and in no way feel obligated to respond to your demands.

If, and when, you are ready to continue....I'd be more than pleased to respond.
