Spain used to be a lovely country with kind and generous people. The food and wine were excellent and cheap. The cops were often bent and the bullfights were pretty good.
This was 40 years ago. I expect it's changed. |

Hi!
I'm Spanish, so if you have any doubt about my culture, just ask me.
And pugachevV, I suppose that you are sarcastic becuase you say "This was 40 years ago. I expect it's changed.". What didn't like you in Spain?

Hey, uh, pugachevV:
Forty years ago, Spain was under the control of the dictator, Francisco Franco. I think most people would agree that things have improved since then.
I was in Granada, Spain for part of the summer, and I liked it there. It had good food, mostly friendly people, great historical sites like the Alhambra, and was laid out so that I could get anywhere I needed to on foot. Even if it was a forty minute walk to the train station. . . |

LucentShade, I'm form Granada! So, I see that you enjoyed there. I live in Barcelona now because I'm working here but I'm a bit nostalgic (or homesick) . I miss the peace, the smell, the food...
And pugachevV, I assure you that, fortunately, a lot of things have changed.
See you!

hy everybody
I am spaniard like others here. I would like to express you all that from my point of view Spain is democratic, warm, hospitality country. Joung people who are less 28 y.o has never heard of dictatorship. For that, I would invite all of you to come to Spain and making your own opinion about Spain _________________ I could dance with you till the cows come home...On second thought, I'd rather dance with the cows when you came home |
