Some years ago I've read "Bridget Jones' diary". Have you read? Smile
And I liked it very-very much! There were so many conversations and a plenty of contemporary idioms in that story! I think it's an ideal book for learning foreign language!
Have you read something like a "Bridget Jones' diary"? Rolling Eyes

I can't think of any... uh, maybe, the Princess Diaries series?

Hi there,

I know that it has been sometime since you posted your question and I hope that you have now found a book that you like, which is a similar format to "Bridget Jones' diary". When I was in my 20's (seems a long time ago Laughing ) I read a series of books by Sue Townsend, about a young boy named Adrian Mole. These books are in diary format and are very funny. All four books are well worth a read if you have the time. You can find out more at the following website: http://www.adrianmole.com/index.html

Good luck

Hi Mary Poppins,
Did you know that there is a sequel to Bridget Jones' diary? It is called Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. If you liked the first one I'd definitely recommend the second! Also I am a big Helen Fielding fan too and I was really excited to discover another book written by her which is much less well known but just as great to read. It's called 'Olivia Joules and the overactive imagination' and I really loved it so I'd definitely recommend it. It would probably be just as useful to help with your English too!
Good luck, hope you like it
Laura
