Two years ago there has been the attack on the worl trade center. At that time there were minutes` silence at school and everybody dealed with only one subjekt: the attack.
Today, it`s two years ago. I woke up and heard on the radio about the 11th september 2001. But at school nobody talked about the date. Not even the littlest remark. I do not understand, two years ago it was regarded as the biggest drama since since the 2nd wold war, today nobody talks about it. But I`m glad of this.
Life is curious.
good night.

I think that it's a good thing too. It happened in America and, whilst I admit that it was very bad and that it wasn't only American subjects who were killed there have been disasters in other countries which aren't given as much publicity.

Will the Bali bombing be given the same worldwide treatment a year later? I think not!

In the UK we have had terrorism for over thirty years and we just get on with it. The problem with America is that they are so iinsular. and they think that they are impenetrable so it comes as a great shock when they discover they aren't.

Especially when the Americans wake up to the fact that the WTC Demolition wasn't the work of Osama bin Laden.

Of course, by then it will be too late.

This past September 11th, I told my students about the military coup that took place on that day in 1973 in Chile, which was also a significant historical event.
