Orang ramai yang menonton lumba haram akan ditahan dan didakwa di mahkamah di bawah cadangan pindaan Akta Pengangkutan Jalan 1987 (APJ) bagi membendung kegiatan tersebut.
Pindaan APJ itu akan menyaksikan hukuman yang berat terhadap bukan sahaja pelumba tetapi juga penaja perlumbaan dan para penonton.
Nama-nama mereka juga akan dimasukkan ke dalam daftar Pesalah Jenayah jika didapati bersalah.
The government, declaring war on rampant illegal racing intends to amend the Road Transport Act (RTA) to provide for stiffer punishment not only for the racers but also spectators.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy said section 81 of the Act would be amended to impose stiffer penalties also on sponsors of such races while the illegal racers would have their licences suspended for a very long period.
At present Section 81 of the RTA covers sponsors, advertisers and supervisors of illegal races with a fine of not more than RM2,000 or a six month jail sentence or both, if convicted.

| i think racing on the public road is the stupid thing to do. If you wanna get involve in racing, how about joining the professional team. You can make money out of it. |

hmm..... illegal racing.... I am not interested. I don't have comment for this moment. But, I think that is not a good ideas to join the illegal racing with anyone. |

I think Illegal racingjust like killing ourself. There's no good in it. but why most teenagers like to race.
