My girlfriend is many years older than me so my family doesn't like her and can't accept her.

Having older girlfriend is still unacceptable for some elders. I don't know what to do becasue we get along so well actually... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

It's not important difference of age.
My friend was like you too.
She has a boyfriend older her.
This difference was more than 10!
Their parents accept them 2 years later.
It gonna be good! Good luck Smile

how much is your girlfriend older than you? if more than 10 years, i think it is really difficult for your parents to accept her! Smile

my parents have never accepted any of my boyfriends.
I once went out with a guy that was 10 yrs older than me... i really liked him cuz he was so mature n he'd teach me so many things in life. n thats why i wanted to be with him. but i never thought we'd get married or anything like that... so it was okay.
i think there are no age limits with girlfriends and boyfriends. if youre happy with ur woman then that should be all that matters. theres alot to having an older partner cuz you can really get alot from her/him. but when it comes to marriage thats another story. i think you should stay with her as long as you two are happy together. the longer the better! then your parents might accept her! they might even see that you've become more mature by beeing with her.

good luck with everything Smile

if you love your girlfriend, you must do something to cheat your Parent.for example, buy some gifts to your Parent and tell them that the gifts is from your girlfriend.or you could try to find a new girlfriend which your Parent loved.

I am wondering if Tone and his girlfriend are still an item. But @beibeizhu: I wouldn't recommend to cheat on the parents. If the girlfriend should be accepted as she is and when there is need to "buy" the parent's acceptance with presents, there is definitely something wrong.

Regarding the advice to find a new girlfriend, well... The parents might find something wrong in the new girl, too. So what can he do, just bring home one girl after another until they are satisfied?

I hope they found a good solution in the meanwhile since opening this topic.
