Hi er.rajshukla,
I have found when I travel, that it is useful to visit a tourist information centre within the city or country I visit as soon as I arrive (often they are in the airport arrival lounge or near the tourist resorts), but I also check the internet before departing, to look for taxi or coach companies who may offer guided tours. It is also worth buying a local newspaper, once again on arrival, to see what is on, both culturally and in the form of festivals and celebrations. An alternative is to check back here a few weeks before you are due to travel, and see if you can find any teachers or fellow students who would have the time to show you around their local city, I am certainly always happy to show foreign visitors around Scotland.
Hope this helps, happy wandering.
