Q: Choose the correct word both grammtically and contextually in the blank.
_______ you buy, you get only the best prodcuts.
(1) Whatever (2) Whenever

I guess... (1) is more correct..... otherwise (1) and (2) is correct contextually.....
I want to know the answer and the reason.. |

Both are grammatically ok, but "whenever" makes an unusual sentence, for which there is no support.
Because it is talking about products, "whatever", suggesting "whatever product" seems much more appropriate.

"buy" needs a direct object; however, "shop" does not. Therefore, you could say "Whenever you shop, you get only the best products." You could also say, "Whenever you buy something, you get only the best products." |
