Initially important is what is your level about English. If your level is upper intermediate or more you have to visit www.breakingnewsenglish.com. You will have practise English. www.better-english.com and www.englishpage.com are the other good sites about learning English, especially for grammar.
If your level isn't intermediate or more, you should also learning with teacher. You have to read some books which is for basic and elementary. You must memorize basic words.
I am form Turkey and if there is some turkish student, they should visit www.zargan.com. This site is very good dictionary.
Good luck! |

My all time favorite is English180.com.
The best thing is that it is completely FREE... ALL of it. It has so much material and they do it in a fun way that never bores you.
All of the lessons are in Flash, and all of them teach you vocab, pronunciation, and have quizzes, games, videos, podcasts, you can even register for free to track your progress.
Seriously, check it out. |

| i use and recommend to my students www.soundsenglish.com. it is quite a new site but they add content regularly, it gives free listening practice exercises for every level. the exercises are interactive and have answers and the script and the audio player is pretty cool it looks like an ipod. it does have adverts but i don't mind becasue the content is free and the ads are usually about english learning anyway so i am interested in them. |

There's no Flash but I've put up a few interactive JavaScript activities at http://www.gameenglish.com
The most recent things are a couple of short text adventures that should challenge your reading skills.
Please excuse the dark humour in some parts of the games |

I love this new website - I use Facebook so when I'm on Facebook and I have a question about English - I can use this site and contact native English speakers who will answer any of my questions about English.

Facebook is now being used to help us learn English - that's great! |

I have just started a website for learning English called www.verbkeep.com. The idea of the site is that you can learn expressions and that are used in popular TV shows and music. There are lessons on How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, and a few different musical artists -- I am writing more lessons now and I would be interested in suggestions!
Each lesson is based on new vocabulary, but also looks at pronunciation and listening. It's for students at a high-intermediate or advanced level.
Please tell me what you think! |
