Hi,
I have seen in some youtube videos as well as in my reduction accent guide topics regarding linking and combining words.
I see that some people use : didjə for( did you) but when speaking a sentence fully, I have heard people saying: djoou as in. How djoou get here? instead of how didjə get here? do you use both? or just one fo them?
Thanks _________________ English Teachers Wanted

When you hear "How djoou get here?" it's actually the shortened form of "How'd you," which is already the shortened form of "How did you". How did you --> How'd you --> How djoou.
So... "How didjə" = "How did you" and "How djoou" = "How'd you". They're both fine (colloquially)! _________________ ESL Schools in the USA |

Six of one, half dozen of the other.
The poster is right - they're the same.
Pronunciation difference would come down to the difference in the last sounds (jə and oou) - maybe some regional dialectic difference. _________________ Niagara Summer Programs |

Good pronunciation is very important for good spoken communication. However you do not have to speak like a native English speaker to have good pronunciation.
There are many different natural varieties of English pronunciation in Britain and around the world. The activities and resources in this part of the site are designed to give an introduction to certain features of standard southern British English pronunciation.
