Recently I rered one book from my youth,
edited in 1749. One of the first and finest
English comic novels.
Tom Jones is a foundling of mysterious
origins discovered in the bed of the wealthy
and benevolent Mr. Allworthy. The book
describes Tom's adventures and love for
Sophia Western.
To a modern audience barely able to
concentrate and read, 900 pages are
abhorrent, that I know, but nevertheless
try at least to prove me wrong. _________________ Ren Cohrt |

tom jones is really a masterpice,i think, although it is not given the importance it deserves as a classic.
it is also very enjoyable to see it on tv as tv series of bbc.both the book and the series reflect the humuor of the english perfectly. |

Is this book as good as many speak of? I would like to read it as well. Well, since it is one of the first of its kind, I can’t wait to lay my hands on this book. I think I will just buy this, if I can find one of this.
