People will hurt your feelings, and you can't always just take your ball and leave.
What does "take your ball and leave" mean? Would someone mind telling more about it and its origin?
Please help me out. Thanks a lot. |

I've heard "take my ball and go home" as the idiom. It comes from the playground, when one kid brings the ball, and if things aren't going the way he wants, he can stop everything by taking his ball and going home. Then there will be no ball to play with.
It means something like, "If I don't get my way I will leave and not participate." |
