what's the meaning of "wear a sheet-dress"? Is sheet used on a bed to lie on? Can sheet be used to wear on bodies?

Actually, it is rather unusual to hear that term. I googled it, and came up with http://www.slate.com/articles/double_x/family/2015/11/the_2_year_old_who_threw_a_tantrum_in_front_of_the_president_she_was_my.html , the story of the two-year-old who had a tantrum in front of President Obama because she wanted to wear a dress made from a sheet instead of the regular dress she was wearing. The article explains that she enjoys wearing sheets like dresses when she is at home.
