Hello teachers,

I would like to know how to use the verb "Know."

"I found this book interesting." This sentence is OK, right?

How about this one?

#1 "I know this book to be interesting."
#2 "I know this book interesting."

According to my dictionary, #1 is acceptable and I would like to know if we can omit "to be" like the sentence #2.

Thanks in advance.

You can say, "I know this book is interesting, but you can't drop the "is".

Dear Lorikeet

Thank you for answering my questions.
Now I understand how to use "know."
I really appreciate it.
