What do you call things such as candies, chocolate bars and so on that are usually placed next to the checkout (counter) in a supermarket in order to attract people's attention? I think there is a name or a set phrase for them but I can't remember which is. Would you please help me out? Thank you. |

Hi paride1970,
The items you have named could be classified as 'sweets'. They could also be classified as 'impulse buy' items. |
