Hi, everyone! It's been a long time since the last time I wrote something in this forum.
I'm currently reading "the god of small things", by Indian author Arundhati Roy. At one point of the story, one of the female personages is victim of police abuse by an officer named Thomas Mathew.
It called my attention that the officer has an English name despite the fact that he's a native from Kottayam. I think the author may have chosen this name for some specific reason...
Do Indian participants of this forum have any guess about it?
Thanks in advance! _________________ Stormy Weather. |

Nice to see you Clarissa. The forum isn't as active as it once was, so I don't know if you will get a response, but I did google that book and my goodness, it sounded like a very complicated soap opera! I hope you are enjoying it . |
