I cannot make what he means by this saying. Please help me.

Every noon as the clock hands arrive at twelve, / I want to tie the two arms together, / And walk out of the bank carrying time in bags. -Robert Bly, poet (b. 23 Dec 1926) _________________ Hiromichi |

Poetry is often difficult to decipher! I'm sorry I'm not very good at figuring out poetry, so I'm not sure what it means either. However, I did google it and found the whole poem at http://voetica.com/voetica.php?collection=2&poet=647&poem=6959 The title is "Wanting to Steal Time" so maybe that will give you a clue. |
