Hello.
I want to know how you describe these situations or what words you use.

It is said that there are two ways of exercising.

1. You comsume oxygen and burn fat so you can lose some weight.
e.g. jogging aerobics................What kind of exercise is this?

2. When you run short distance very fast, you can run without breathing.
Then you don't use oxygen. Or working out with heavy weight to get
muscle........................What kind of exercise is this?

I'm not into nutrition, but you might be overlapping two topics. I think this is what you were aiming at.

1) as you almost answered yourself, This is aerobic exercise

A general rule is to go by your heart rate when exercising. Aerobic exercise is for the most part when you are working your cardiovascular system( heart, lungs, circulatory systems and the like ).

2) When you exercise too hard, or exert alot of force your body begins to break down tissue/muscle and this is called anaerobic. When your body under goes catabolic processes.

Now an anabolic process is when your body builds up tissue/muscle.

That was a bit simplistic, but it's all I know Razz.

So we can categolize exercise into aerobic one and anaerobic one, right?
Anaerobic, this is the word just I wanted to know.
Thank you for introducing a helpful site.
