Hi. Everyone. I was born and grow up in Japan, but my nationality is Korea. Iím third of resident Korean. In Japan, resident Korean people have been paying an inhabitant tax, but we donít have an inhabitantís poll. We must have Certificate of Alien Registration in spite of resident card. Sometimes we are targets of discrimination. I think this is a little bit serious problem. I want to know well this problem. How about your country? How do you feel about this problem? What should government do? What should resident people do? Please tell me.

In Canada there are people from all over the world living, for the most part, in harmony.
Sometimes some of the new immigrants bring their problems with them but their children usually adopt the Canadian way of life.
There is no inhabitants tax but we pay plenty of income tax and various other taxes. There are very few people who need a visa to visit Canada.
Some countries, like Japan, feel that they need to keep an eye on foreign residents and do all they can to discourage them from staying.
Japan and Korea are old enemies and there is still much distrust because North Koreans can not be distinguished from South Koreans
