expose yourself to english as much as possible .. don't study too many vocabulary words at once though, it can get confusing.

Hello mike! Im a english student too, and what you are feeling is completely normal. I felt the same, you have to keep studing and althouht you think you are not improvining, you are do it but you can't see that. One day you take off and will see the result.

The best way to study english is to THING in english, if you see an object, do not thing in your lenguage and after translat it, just imagine the object. If you see a house you thing house, do not in your lenguage, just in english.

Ok, that's my advice for you, see you later.

Nicolas

I thing if you are willing to speak inglish you should speak poeple that don't speak any other language or your language eccept english that will help you to learn more you expected and also watch englidh movies or comedies. Thats what I did and day after day I'm learning new words and frases.

Very Happy
Hi, I am in U.S. and took E.S.L class when I started high school.
I was able to learn enough English within a year, and I am going to tell you what I did.
I read, listened, and watched a lot!
Then, when I took "real" English classes with other Americans, I read a book three times before I let it go.
Just get as much as English as possible, and you will be able to learn it.
It is hard, but once you learn the language, you will be really happy.
Good luck!

words that used by americans in every day are appoximately 1000-1500
even with mere 300 words u can communicate with them
but i , as well as other peers born in same country, put lots of efforts in mastering many unneccessay words that dont really used in here.
even worse we only know their literal meanings. as a result when we use them in essay many of them doesnt make sense at all
if u think u know enough vocalbulary, think again
words should be placed in correct place at correct time..
We cant know it only with studying dictionary
