Hello, everyone.

What difference in nuance do you feel between (1) and (2)?
1. I'm happy to find a cheap flat-panel monitor.
2. I'm happy to have found a cheap flat-panel monitor.

Any comment would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Fw

Hello, FW.

In my opinion, there's no difference. Both forms are acceptable.

Thank you, David.

Then, do I understand "I am happy to see you." can be paraphrased into "I am happy because I (am able to) see you." or something like "I am happy because I have seen you."?

Are both acceptable an is there no differnce between the two?

They're essentially the same, but "I am (I'm) happy to see you." is a commonly used collocation (set phrase).
