"The idea is that.." is used when someone wants to explain his or someone else's idea. these words can be replaced with "I mean", "I want to say", but the latter two are more colloquial _________________ I work here --> Research Writing Help |

The idea is that when you say "The idea is that", you can follow the statement with the instruction and/or with whatever the "idea" refers to. _________________ ab2146 |
