It is commonly believed that bicultural or multicultural is better than monocultural. In my opinion, bicultural people have some difficulty in the creation of their identity. For example, second generation Korean who live in Japan usually forced to be Japanese or Korean. There is no third choice such as third culture or something combination. What do you think about this problem? |

It is extremely good. Especially if you are in international business. It many be true that in closed societies like Japan children of Japanese and Korea parents may have a hard time growing up. I think this would be more because of the people around them making life hard, and not something from within the person. Later in life when childhood names are not important this person would definitely have an advantage. When I have a family I will raise my children to be bi-cultural.
Good luck,

What you should raise your children to be, is tolerant and open-minded. They will love you for it. |

I think if one raises one's family in a bi-cultural environment they will be tolerant and open-minded by default.
