Hi, Im Japanese.
In this summer, I went to France and stayed with my host family.
I had a breakfast every morning with my host mother.

Normally (in Japan), I dont have a breakfast because I cant spend time for one.
But if I can, I have many foods. (For example: rice, miso soup, salad)

I said her this thing, she was surprised very much.
Because French have only one or two slices of bread in the morning in France, she said.

In the other world, hows your breakfast?

In Brazil: of course there might be regional differences, but usually that's what you'll find in the average Brazilian breakfast table:

- bread (especially rolls, which are named "pes franceses" - "french bread");
- butter (to put on the bread);
- slices of cheese;
- slices of ham;
- fruits (melon, papaya);
- cake;
- black coffe (I'm addicted to it!)
- milk (I hate it!);
- juice (usually, orange juice);

The idea of eating something fried (like bacon, eggs, etc) in the morning sounds a little weird for us. If you do something of the kind your parents probably will look at you and think "that's why s/he is putting so much weight...".

Hi there,

the breakfast in Switzerland is very similar to the French breakfast. We eat mainly some slices of fresh bread with butter, honey and jelly, croissants and gems are very liked, too, with lots of coffee. When we have enough time for an extensive breakfast, we eat bread with ham, cheese and "3-minute-eggs", as we call them, that's eggs boiled in water for 3 minutes, they still have to be a little liquid in the middle;-).

We don't eat anything baked either, nor rice or soup, that's things we only eat for lunch or dinner.

I think breakfast is an important meal. I think families should make an effort to eat together in the morning, and to eat healthy food. They should also use that time for good communcication with each other.

Hi! I'm Japanese.
I eat bread, coffee and yogurt every morning.
My frend's breakfast is miso soup, rice, egg and green tea.
I think we can eat and cook bread faster than Japanese breakfast.
And I'm sure to eat breakfast.
