If you are preparing for TOEIC, just do practice tests.
However, for TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge or LCCI, you do need to do this:
1. Read for 1 hour every day. Do not use a dictionary and read different kinds of texts each day.
2. Write for 30 minutes every day. Get a teacher to check your writing in your English class or online.
3. Listen to the news in English every day. When you are listening write down: when, where, who and what.
4. Speak English with a friend for 30 minutes every day. Don't use your language in that time. Even if you make mistakes, you will force yourself to think about how to use English.
5. Do some practice of the test once a week.
This will improve your score in a test if you do it EVERY DAY!
Good luck!

It is difficult for me to answer this question...
Cos I wanna know how to improve my English skills/
But just one thing I could say is,
"It's on your effort no matter how you want to be a good English speaker!!"
Famous proverb says,
"Rome was not built in a day"
Remember these words and always keep it in your mind.
I'm gonna study English hard,too!!
How do you study English every day?? Please tell me your own way!! |

Based on my personal experience,
getting a proper book that has sample TOEIC or TOEFL problems
is the first thing you should do.
In this process, you should know in what parts you are weak in,
and look for books that include the parts (for example, part 5 in TOEIC)
you are weak in.
Next, you should solve the problems as you would on an actual
TOEIC or TOEFL exam, and you should stick to the limited time.
Also, you should correct your answers and take notes on the problems
you missed, writing down the solution part that is included in the
book.
The most important of all is repetition. Rather than having many
different books to read and solve, having one book and reading
repetitively is the most efficient. This way, you will be able to
distinguish the patterns that appear on the test.
Hope this was helpful. |
