TLC is the abreviation from "tratado de libre comercio" (free treat agreemente). These is a comercial treatment between USA and Central America...

Laughing When I read the name of your topic, hahaha, I knew you meant the trading agreement with the US, but I was also sure people would get mixed up...

Anyway, the TLC or CAFTA in English means a lot to Central American countries and it will have a great impact in each country's economy and society. In Costa Rica for example, it will make poverty higher than ever and all the government's public institutions will disappear. It's a complicated theme and it's even more complicated to treat it here, but anyway, I've said what I think about it. Wink

In English, TLC is "Tender Loving Care" and it is also a television channel, "The Learning Channel".
That trade agreement is the FTA in English (Free Trade Agreement). I don't know much about economics, so I don't have an opinion...
