Heard that Halloween was actually the holy day to respect the spirit but, for commercial reason, it became a scary day to release ghost

Is it true? What is actually the history of Halloween?

You're right, origin of Halloween goes back to the Celtic times.

Yeah... I don't know why everything in this world became "commercial." All the good things are distorted by the devil called money.

Yeah, Halloween used to be a pagan holiday, All Hallows Eve. It was supposed to be the one night of the year when dead souls could return to the living world. People used to pray for their dead relatives, a lot like the Mexican Day of the Dead.

Do you guys realize that Halloween is not the demon's birthday like everyone says.
The Omen was born on 06/06/06.

I always wonder why Halloween is celebrated by many Christians even though it is actually a pagan holiday. The same with the Christmas Tree, which is also a pagan custom. I would think Christians would be completely against adding them to their own celebrations?

No. Pagan usually refers to a person who follows a polytheistic (has many gods) or pantheistic (everything is a god) religion such as the ancient Romans, Vikings, or Celts.
A pilgrim is a person on a religious journey usually to a holy place.

I wonder why black and orange are the colors for halloween. is it because people think these two colors together have a perfect scary effect?

I have never heard about it, but I think I know the reason why black and orange are the colours of halloween.
Just look at

Normally you go out with the lanterns, when it's late and dark. (black)There is orange fire coming out from the marrow. (orange)
As you can hardly see other colours besides of black and orange, holding a candle at night, I think that's why black and orange are chosen.

Thanx a lot ad-miral. I thought there exists a legend or something that could explain this but--well, maybe it's just that simple.
btw, I love the smell of a Jack-o-lantern. Laughing
