hi!!! I'm carolina and I live in italy.....i want to go to UNITED STATES!!!
i love that and i'm trying to convince my family to go there for holiday....but maybe we'll go to greece....unfortunately...

I'm Nicole and i live in Spain and i also want to go to USA!!!! I'm planning to go there by summmer'08.
I think Greece is a lovely place. I've never been there but i know a lot of about its culture. Don't think you're unfortunately... maybe next summer, like me
My planning is going there in summer and look for a residence 'cos i want to spend there a whole year studing at university. |

Hello people! I am an American ESL teacher. Sometimes I tutor people on Daves ESL. For those of you who want to come to the US, you should be aware of a few things. Probably the only good places are the west coast and New York City. Everything in between is pretty boring and can even be dangerous.
Caro - after living in Italy, you'll find it very hard to get good food here except maybe in California. I've lived in northern Italy and New York city. -never had much good Italian food in the US, even in New York.
You're better off spending your vacation in Greece.
One good thing - Americans like foreigners so you will make friends quickly if you come here.
Sorry to be so negative. I've lived here more than fifty years and I don't care for it much. Except that we dont pay high taxes. Then again, we dont have universal health care either. Did you read about the lady that died on the hospital floor last week while nurses just watched her bleed to death?
If anyone is going to New York City, I can provide a little useful info

King-Drew hospital IS a government run hospital and is well known as a death trap. You would wish that quality of service on the rest of us? No thank you. As bad as our system may be, it is too important IMHO to leave to those same government screw-ups who are running our foreign policy AND can't even put the right mail in the right mailbox. 
Lest we get too far off topic, travellers should be sure to get private traveller's insurance before you leave home. If you get sick, you don't want to get stuck at a medical facility like King Drew Hospital.

| I don't want to go there because the country is too crowded .Maybe there are lots of schools and beatiful see and more money,if you ask me I can recomment Turkey . Our country is very big We have lots of old places for example Dolmabahce and Topkapı palace, also our people are very friendly . Come and see |
