You still haven't explained what would motivate someone to allow themselves to be brainwashed, engage in wishful thinking, etc.
You are saying something like "He has a cold because his nose is stuffy." I'm asking"Why is his nose stuffy?"
Humans don't do anything without motivation. And we can't understand a person unless we know their motivations. What's the motivation for what you seem to be disdainfully describing as a kind of self deception?

My apologies. You understand me wrong. 
I wasn't demanding an answer that met some standard. I was clarifying my question in case I communicated poorly.
Of course you don't have to explain anything at all to me if you don't wish to.
Of course I don't know all the answers. If I did I wouldn't be asking questions.

i think people believe in god any kind of god because they need :
the feeling of secure:feel the are overssed and protected( an example of that is when sm1 feel that he or she is going to die he or she will prey to god be saved )
the feeling of hope: hope that there is another life waiting for them after this life, a life that is can be heaven or hell according to sm1 beahvior under the rules of a particular relion.
i belive in god and that one day after this life am going to be judged for what have i done in this life and whether im going to hell or heaven...i feel secured and relifed when i pray to god..i feel that im getting things out of my chest...especially when im in those black hard days...
doesn any1 agree with me???????
