I don't know what my name means, but my username comes from a videogame I used to play as a child. Maybe some of you are familiar with Dixie Kong |

My name is Edward. My name means "rich guard", derived from the Old English elements ead "rich, blessed" and weard "guard". That is what I read anyways.
My name here, eddfx is my short name Edd combined with an FX. Like the movie 300 and it's special effects (FX). I know it is a little nerdy, but hey, its who I am. |

My full "Christian" or English name is Daniel Jack Ward Fernandez
Daniel - From the Hebrew name דָנִיֵּאל (Daniyyel) meaning "God is my judge".
Jack - Derived from Jackin (earlier Jankin), a medieval pet form of John. John - English form of Iohannes, which was the Latin form of the Greek name Ιωαννης (Ioannes), itself derived from the Hebrew name יוֹחָנָן (Yochanan) meaning "YAHWEH (God) is gracious".
Ward - From a surname meaning "guard" in Old English.
Fernandez - From Ferdinand, meaning "ready to journey" from Gothic fardi "journey" and nand "ready".
My "Chinese name" is 唐仁汉
唐 [tang2] (surname)/Tang dynasty (618-907)/
仁 [ren2] /humane/
汉 [han4] /Chinese/name of a dynasty/
I'm sure someone else can translate this better than me. And the words have more meaning together as a name than they have together. That's the way for many Chinese words. My friend that gave me the name said it is partly because I am good hearted and seem to have a Chinese spirit. _________________ Daniel

唐仁汉 is a meaningful name, and very suitable for you. you often think in the way of Chinese people. and you know so much about Chinese culture, history(so much more than I do), so I think your friend gave you a perfect Chinese name |

My real name is Chen Wan, Chen is the given name, Wan is the family name. We Chinese read it the other way round, Wan Chen (万琛)
Wan means "tenthousand" and Chen means "wisdom". That's the first point where people misunderstand me. They think my name sounds like "Jackie Chan" so they think I am very brutal. _________________ If I say "I love you" to someone, then I also have to say "I also love everyone else inside you, I love the whole world because of you, I also love myself inside you." -- Erich Fromm, the Art of Love |
