1. What does "a whisky on the rocks" mean? Does it mean where the whisky is placed in a bar or a kind of whisky?

2. What is the meaning of "My legs are falling asleep"? Does it mean "I am tired" or "I don't want to move anymore"? I'm a little confused by this sentence.

3. I saw a sentence like this:"Let me pour you a drink...Say "When"! " What does the "when" mean here? Just say "yes" and I'll pour you a drink now? Or Just say "when" and let us discuss when is proper to buy you a drink?

These are all very interesting questions, Kaimwing!

1. "Whiskey on the rocks" means whiskey in a glass with ice cubes.

2. "My legs are falling asleep." usually happens when you sit on your legs and cut off some of the circulation. Your legs get numb, and when you start to move them they are very tingly. It is uncomfortable. If I try to sit Japanese style, for example, my legs fall asleep!

3. If you are serving someone food or drink, and you say, "Say when" it means you want the person to tell you when to stop serving you, when the amount is enough.

Now I understand these meanings. I'm glad that I post these questions before I use them in a totally wrong way! Smile
Thanks a lot!
