Could you please explain me why do we sometimes use "which" instead of "where" for location As in " This is the restaurant which we have dinner"
It was something like that My example maybe wrong but I'm sure that I saw "which" with location |

I think you have a choice. Look at these examples:
This is the restaurant where we had dinner.
This is the restaurant which (or that) we had dinner in.
(Some people like "This is the restaurant in which we had dinner." but that is a little too formal for normal American speech.) |
