To my mind it is different from dog to dog. Laughing

I mean, some big, brutal attack dogs are very fearsome, when they are fleshing teeths and so on.
You know, there was an attack dog which killed the children in the own house.

And some small dogs or sighthounds or sheep dogs can be very loyal to their owners, more loyal than for example cats.

i know a chihuahua which is a real monster dog Wink

it's so small and little that you'd think it's such a cute dog, but it barks and yaps at everyone who goes by...
i myself love dogs, i'd really want to have one myself, but my mom is allergic so i have to wait until i'm in my own house and have enough time for an own dog.
but i'm of the opinion that every dog is friendly from the beginning, it just depends on how you bring it up. a dog has evolved from wolves, so it's used to live in prides. in every pride there's a ranking. a dog-owner has to be the "alpha", the highest "animal2 in this ranking, then everything's ok.
