Hello, everyone! My name is Zhang Lunan. I'm a Chinese, but I am
studying in Japan.

In Japan, men have higher status than women. At home men (the
father or the husband) usually take a bath before women. Men don't
do the housework for their family. Does your father (or husband)
do the housework? In a company women play an important part of
work. Women usually serve tea at lunch break to their colleagues.
But men don�t usually do that. In your company, who serves tea
at lunch break to colleagues? Who serves tea to the visitor?

In China, women have the same rights as men. In a family and
in a company, men and women have the same part. In my family,
my father does the housework when he has time. For example,
he sometimes cooks and cleans the house. What do you think about
men not doing the housework for the family?

I am a Hong Konger. In my family, my father and mother have to go to work. The housework is shared by them. However, my father is still the breadwinner of the family. In other words, my mother keeps her salary to herself whereas my father have to pay all the expenses in the family.
In office, there is a little bit different. Most companies would like to hire male for the top post. However, no woman is willing to serve tea for men during lunch or tea break. Men sometimes serve tea to women to show their 'geltleman' manner.

1. Whoever gets up first. In this case that would be the father most of the time.

2. B. sometimes, but it's rotated regularly among the family members

3. C. He always left too early, about 5:30 am. We just walked down the street and took the bus anyways though.

I'm still a student, but I'll just comment on companies I'd most likely work in.

6 & 7: Nobody really serves drinks, in seminars/meetings everyone pretty much gets their own.

8. More male managers, but there aren't many females in electrical engineering here with that kind of experience yet. It should get much better in the next ten years or so.
