Many countries have holidays at harvest time. For example, American people have Thanksgiving Day, which falls on the fourth Thursday of November. Koreans have Ch'usok on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. By this time the fall harvest is near at hand.
On the holidays, all the members of a family who left their hometowns return home. They get together and enjoy special food-turkey in America and songp'you in Korea. |
