This is their broadband edition of their story.
Basically, in summary, the entire non-OPEC world has already peaked.
This is demonstrable for anyone reading the data.
Every person in a first world nation depends on cheap oil for transport, plastics, and food. (We use 10 calories of oil and gas based fertilizers and gas to make 1 calorie of food energy.)
Without cheap oil, our entire world economy will go belly up and it starts with the airlines going bankrupt. Forget today's prices, what happens at $200 to $300 per barrel?
The Australian ABC current affairs program "4 Corners" basically concluded last night that we all depend on ever increasing supplies of oil otherwise the world will enter a profound depression.
Now I know that this is a very emotive subject, but the data is in.
The non-OPEC world has already peaked. Many countries within OPEC should no longer really be there, because the have peaked and will not be able to Export much longer. (The 'E' in OPEC).
So what are the official government "business as usual" organisations saying in response? They click their ruby slippers together three times as they say.... "Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia".
Now here's the thing. The Saudi former head of exploration told the New York Times that Saudi production will peak at 15mbd. They already produce 9.5 mbd. Therefore the peak is only 5.5 mbd away.... and the non-OPEC world are losing more and more production annually that must be compensated from.
What does the ABC conclude? That the whole world is to trust the lifeblood of our civilization to one nationalized energy company that does not allow independent audits! They just say, "Trust me!"
We've NEVER been deceived by an energy company with poor audits before. (ZZZZzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaachhhhhhhhhoooooo! Excuse me, I think I have Enron-itis).
The peak is coming. Get ready for the Greater Depression. None of you are pilots are you? And no-one here needs to... ummm.... eat? _________________ 2008 World oil production begins to decline,
