Languagelab.com invites you to our new Culture Conversation Club. Our first event will be a discussion about the popular American TV show, Desperate Housewives. Our moderators are two English teachers - one British and one American - who both love TV and popular culture.

Join us to talk about the trivial (Who's the best-dressed wife?) and the not-so-trivial (What does this show reflect about personal relationships?). Come with your questions, comments, insights, and intrigue.

This is an opportunity to flex your skills and enrich your English as you participate in a no-risk but (we hope!) fascinating dialogue.

This first event is open to an audience of ten. We are testing to see how such an event will work, both technologically and as a forum for fun and for practicing English.

To get the most from this event, you must be familiar with Desperate Housewives, and have at least an intermediate level of English. Oh, and be willing to participate!

We will ask for feedback and suggestions for further events after the close of this event.

This event will take place on Thursday, November 9th at 11:30am GMT.

If you would like to participate and your computer meets these requirements:

www.languagelab.com/min_reqs.jsp,, please send an email with your full name indicating your interest to [email protected].

We hope to see you on Thursday,
