wow, CP! you even speak Cantonese That really surprises me! I remember there is an English expression by which we can describe some people who can speak more than two languages, just like you. that expression is poly-lingual or multi-lingual? I don't remember exactly. |

You are probably thinking of polyglot, an ugly-sounding word meaning multilingual.
I said I can say a few simple things in Cantonese, not that I can speak it. I envy people who can speak Cantonese or Mandarin, and I admire anyone who can read and write Chinese--always have. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

then we are almost in the same boat(not in the same bed though, unfortunately), I envy people who can speak and write English well. how about we trade our mother tongues? maybe we can trade more than just mother tongue I mean, we can still trade another kind of tongue |

-2 hours of the time which is in Qatar. So if you have 19:25 now, we have 21:25. _________________ If I say "I love you" to someone, then I also have to say "I also love everyone else inside you, I love the whole world because of you, I also love myself inside you." -- Erich Fromm, the Art of Love |

I think you got that backwards. Qatar is east of Germany, no? So it is later in Qatar. _________________ "It is impossible to speak in such a way that you cannot be misunderstood." -- Karl Popper |

The world time clock at www.timeanddate.com lists Qatar as one hour later than Germany. When I checked, it was 1550 in Germany, 1650 in Qatar. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
