Here in Malta they have "festas" every weekend of the summer. You can always hear fireworks at night, and sometimes the streets are closed so the brass bands can march. It's a fun time; usually you see families out all dressed up, and kids happy because they just got new toys. You can buy food and drink on the street. Banners and lights are hung all throughout the parish, and sometimes people toss confetti out the windows and balconies.

On average, there are at least two or three of these a month, and some months that number swells to around half a dozen. Recently I’ve actually had to scale things back a bit, since I was finding it difficult to put the proper time, thought, and resources into their celebration when it seemed that almost every other day was a festival of one sort or another. This, I suppose, is a consequence of having such a rich and complex multicultural pantheon, as we do in Greco-Egyptian polytheism.

i don't very like observe festival. there is no warm feelings during festival. friends and family are likely to know your salary and spouse whether better than their. so i don't like this.
