It is the third movie ever to reach $1000 Billion !! (no. 1 is the unbeatable Titanic at the $1800 Billion)

Same thing here... The first one was better, it had a better argument. But Jack Sparrow never failed me! LOL, Johny Deep is amazing!

I agree that the first one is better. So, what should be the reason that this movie made incredible amount of money?
I think Marketing is not enough. Look at Superman for instance.

I offer my few answers:
Women love Orlando Bloom. Men want Keira Knightley. Men and Women adore Johnny Depp. All want to see the result of the sexual tension developed between the three. These three characters actually have on-screen chemistry. The villain Davy Jones is superbly done. Throw them in the sea and an remote island and let them fight it out. Hmm... the story looks and sounds like more fun than sitting alone at home on a Friday night. Did I forget to mention the mystery of the Kraken? |
