My full "Christian" or English name is Daniel Jack Ward Fernandez
Daniel - From the Hebrew name דָנִיֵּאל (Daniyyel) meaning "God is my judge".

Jack - Derived from Jackin (earlier Jankin), a medieval pet form of John. John - English form of Iohannes, which was the Latin form of the Greek name Ιωαννης (Ioannes), itself derived from the Hebrew name יוֹחָנָן (Yochanan) meaning "YAHWEH (God) is gracious".

Ward - From a surname meaning "guard" in Old English.

Fernandez - From Ferdinand, meaning "ready to journey" from Gothic fardi "journey" and nand "ready".

My "Chinese name" is 唐仁汉
唐 [tang2] (surname)/Tang dynasty (618-907)/
仁 [ren2] /humane/
汉 [han4] /Chinese/name of a dynasty/

I'm sure someone else can translate this better than me. And the words have more meaning together as a name than they have together. That's the way for many Chinese words. My friend that gave me the name said it is partly because I am good hearted and seem to have a Chinese spirit.

bUT Bob sounds sexy, because it sounds like boob (just kidding Very Happy )

I have read a book about names in which the author told:"John means God is kind" I don't see what's the connection between John and God.

It's hard for Asian people understand wesyerner's names.

John is shortened from Johan which was originally Yochanan from Hebrew. Yo- is from Yahovah which means God, and -chanan is Hebrew for gracious or kind. Over many centuries, and as it changed from language to language, it got shortened to just John.

Well, our dear Mr. Daniel Jack Ward Fernandez 唐仁汉 seems to have problems with his account. Means he wanted to change his emailaddress at his account, and then it got deleted. And Lori can't help in such a thing. That also happened to me once, that's why I'm not Admiral any more but ad-miral.

Hey RR you once gave me a Chinese "email-address creator". (It's a Chinese website) Do you still remember? If you do how about giving this to our Mr. 唐仁汉?

Admiral, I remember that website is www.sohu.com

But I don't think Turtle (唐仁汉) can totally read that Chinese website.

I have suggested that 唐仁汉 register with another username RedTurtle, I don't know if he would love my idea Very Happy Maybe his next name will be HornyTurtle or BustyTurtle, who knows? Let's just see...

My name is made up of two characters, both of which look very feminine but they actually have the meaning of "Tai Shan" which is a very famous mountain in China. My father wanted me to have a stable life, and be strong (psychologically only), so he chose these two characters from a dictionary of ancient Chinese.
