Maybe you should hire someone to help you take care of your mother, that way you wouldn't be so tired. I don't mean you should leave your mother alone, I mean, you don't have to take care of your mother all night long and all day long, how about someone takes care of her all night and you take care of her all day?

Imagine: if you get sick after taking care of your mother for a long time, is that the result your mother loves to see? I don't think so.

Yeah, when we are kids, the mothering protects and supports our whole childhood, and now, the mother is old and and sick, we of course should take care of her. However, the point is: there are many ways to help the mother, such as hiring someone, not only exhausting yourself.

I am glad you got a caring boyfriend, but you have to consider his feelings too. if he gets jealous, you should comfort him and make him know you still care about him. and the love for your mother is totally different than the love for him. you shouldn't compare them. the difference isn't about depth, but about type. I don't see any comparability between them.
