I found today that "Longman Dictionary of the English Language"(1984) and "Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English(1st ed. 1978) have the following example sentences #1 and #2, respectively, for the meaning of become of the verb get.

1. Youre getting a big girl now.
2. Hes getting an old man.

I understand sentence #3 and $4, below, are more common for the same meaning.

3. Youre getting to be a big girl now.
4. Hes getting to be an old man.

Do you use sentence #1 and #2, above, yourself? Are they natural English for you?

Any comment would be appreciated.

You hear #1 & #2 sometimes, but not spoken by educated people.
