Hello everyone ~

I'm going to talking about an evil influence of drinking, smoking, meat-eating on our health today.
I am twenty years old and a freshmen of the University now.
Actually, looking around the people nowadays, majority of my boy friends (just 'boy' friends) really love drinking, smoking and meat-eating.
But I think that it is very very dangerous thing.
On my way to school this morning, I received one leaflet which carries the statistics of drinking, smoking, meat-eating.
Always I have estimated the harmful effect of those.
However the result which was printed on the paper was better than I have expected.
I'll give you the terrible statistic data of the drinking and smoking on the leaflet.

Below are the statistic result.

* Damage which was caused by alcohol.

Life - the number of deaths all over the world : one million-eight-hundred-
thousand people every year
reduction of life which was on account of drinking :
sixty million years every year
Violence - the relation between drinking and violence
child abuse : 50%
an act of violence : 40-80%
suicide : 20-50%
Brain damage -
temporary loss of memory, sleep troubles, amnesia, dementia etc.
Disease -
an eye, the liver, the heart, the kidney, the gullet, the stomach etc.
Congenital impediment -
mental retardation, fetus alcohol syndrome, abortion etc.

* Damage which was caused by smoking.

Life -
the number of deaths all over the world : five million people every year
reduction of life on account of drinking : sixty million years every year
Health -
disease : the lungs, the pharynx, the larynx, the brain, the skin, the
oral cavity, the stomach, the pancreas etc.
Family - the bigger casualties because of secondhand smoking
sons and daughters would have asthma, newborn baby sudden
death syndrome, bronchial trouble, tympanitis

Oh, Thank you for your comment. I'm really sorry about that.
The leaflet which I got this morning is made by the company which sells vegetable diet products. So I guess they would wanted to emphasis the superiority of vegetable-eating. That is, they regard the dangerousness of meat-eating as those of smoking or drinking...
