Happy Chinese New Year to all !!

Even though I'm not in China but my ancesstors came from there. We still have some ceremony and visit relatives.

I think the culture is beautiful including other cultures.

It might be the only time of the year to get everyone together.... nice ...

Hi! Well I read that the Chinese New Year starts with the new moon on the first day of the new year, and ends on the full moon 15 days later, also I read about the traditional food consumed during the New Year and, what about the decoration?

In my opinion this is a beautiful celebration!! Wink

I think it's interesting the way Chinese count the date following the moon. It can be confusing if you are not familiar with it because your birth date will be different every year!! but Chinese culture is very stronge and traditional.... Very Happy

Chinese people also count the days as we count it, but additionally it has the lunar calendar for celebrities.

We play Mahjong every day, and give "hon bao" (little red bags of money to children and elders).

It is a great tradition. Sometimes we watch dragon ceremonies.

But really, it's just time to spend with family and not have to work!! haha
