For the last several years I have been using a piece of hard foam as an exercise mat. There are great many things you can do on it. My favorite is to fall on it. You can exercise all muscles on that mat, you can even get tired doing that, and yet it is so easy that you can do it even after a day of work.

It is also good for improving coordination, which is a very valuable skill.

This type of exercise is also a great way to massage the vertebral column. You can simply wiggle on that mat in every direction, thus helping the individual vertebrae to adjust into the best position.

As one can well imagine, when people spend hours standing or sitting in essentially one position, it is very hard on the vertebral column. No wonder there are so many chiropractors in practice!

The pictures of that mat, plus a picture of a girl, who probably does not need it are at http://www.werun.ws/foam.htm
