Folic Acid
Folic Acid is also known as Folate; along with vitamin B-12 is a water-soluble vitamin. Folic Acid protecting against birth defects and heart disease. Folic acid also helps to synthesize genetic material in every cell of the body and normalize brain function.

| It's true that Folic Acid prevents birth defects. Many women start to take folic acid supplements before they become pregnant, because it's one way to help avoid some neurological problems for the baby. |
